About
Morgan Lewis is an artist and nature journaler based in Monterey County, California. Through a combination of creative interpretation and documentation, their work explores themes of ecology and habitat. Morgan uses a variety of mediums including watercolor, printmaking, ink and digital illustration. Born and raised in California, Morgan finds inspiration in the natural history, shapes, and colors of the golden state and wider west coast region. Having studied wildlife biology at The Evergreen State College, Morgan now uses their scientific understanding of birds and other wildlife to create art through an interdisciplinary lens.
Morgan is also a certified UC California Naturalist and Wild Wonder Foundation Nature Journal Educator.

Work with me
I enjoy working on projects that promote conservation research or that bring awareness to wildlife and the places they roam.
Including but not limited to: poster, t-shirt, card, sticker illustrations, editorial illustrations, murals, illustrative logos (not brand design)
I am also open to commissions for personal use (i.e. a painting for your home, a series of drawings for the nursery, etc.)
I believe that through nature journaling, everyone can explore their own relationship to the cycles of nature and feel a deeper sense of connection with the world.
