Join local artist Morgan Lewis of Ripple in the Wild in supporting Monterey Audubon Society at The Ship's Store in Moss Landing to celebrate the opening of Birds in the Landscape, a fundraiser art show featuring eight original paintings exploring the dynamic between birds and local coastal habitats.

"Since 1940, the Monterey Audubon Society has been devoted to exploring, conserving, and celebrating the birds and wildlife of the greater Monterey region."

As an independent Audubon chapter and non-profit, Monterey Audubon relies on the support of local members and donors to run local bird walks, educational programs, and free monthly presentations. They also conduct bird surveys like the Point Pinos Seawatch and protect our local bird colonies like the Seaside Heermann's Gulls through on-the-street outreach and education.

Meet the artist, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and complimentary local wine from Morgan Winery, and purchase a one-of-a-kind painting to support Monterey Audubon Society.

August 29th, 4:30-6:30pm

7501 Sandholdt Road, Moss Landing

Free, drop-in event.

Can't make it to the opening? The paintings will be on display at The Ship's Store during business hours (10am-4pm 7 days a week) through October 11th 2026. And come see Morgan do a live painting demo on September 12th at the store (details TBA).

Paintings will be available for purchase at any point during the show or following, but will remain on display until October 11th regardless of purchase date.

Thanks so much to Morgan Winery for donating wine, to Monterey Audubon for helping to organize this event, and to The Ship's Store for generously hosting.
